Extras

In spring 1996, I had the opportunity to accompany author, “Perennial Diva” and Learn2Grow® writer Stephanie Cohen on a visit to Sir John Theron’s garden in Chester County, PA. The colorful perennial borders, water garden and landscaped lawn areas were spectacular! The following images give a glimpse into the magical world that met us there.

  • The Garden Conservancy is a national, nonprofit organization founded in 1989 to preserve exceptional American gardens for the public’s education and enjoyment. Its Open Days Directory can be an essential aid in finding great private gardens to visit in your area, as well as when you can see them.
  • There are a wealth of great public and private gardens to visit in the Philadelphia, PA, and Wilmington, DE area. The majority of public gardens are listed on the Greater Philadelphia Gardens website.
