The extra large, long-stemmed flowers have unusually horizontal ray flowers that surround a large, orangish brown central cone. The vigorous plants are sturdy, well-branched and require no staking. 'Elton Knight' was bred by Anthony Brooks of Ludlow, Shropshire, England. The seed parent is Echinacea purpurea 'Rosenelf' and the pollen parent Echinacea purpurea 'The King.'
