The cool, lavender-pink flower clusters of this beautiful lace-cap hydrangea are supported by dark purple-black stems and gradually fade to a pleasing lime green as they age. Appearing from spring to summer, the pastel blooms are held atop rounded mounds of lustrous, dark green, mildew-resistant foliage. Midnight Duchess® is a vigorous, patented variety which has good cold hardiness and can be grown in Zone 5 if given protective winter mulching.
