Mahogany common bugleweed is an evergreen to semi-evergreen, perennial groundcover with glossy leaves of dark burgundy to black. This shade-loving plant is European in origin and spreads rapidly by stolons to form a dense carpet of showy vegetation. Spikes of pretty bright blue flowers appear in late spring and early summer.
