The avens hybrid Geum ‘Mrs. J. Bradshaw’ is a clumping, herbaceous perennial. The hairy leaves are feather-like or pinnate with scalloped margins. The terminal leaves are very large with heart-shaped bases. Loose, tall flower stalks rise above the foliage from late spring though summer and are topped with brilliant, double to semi-double scarlet to orange blooms. Interesting, fuzzy seed heads follow the blooms in autumn. The cultivar ‘Mrs. J. Bradshaw’ grows true from seed.
