Slender deutzia is a compact, upright, rounded deciduous shrub native to Japan. Its dwarf cultivar 'Nikko' bears masses of delicate white flowers on low, arching branches in late spring and early summer. In fall the fine, willow-like, dull green leaves assume attractive burgundy tones.
