Family

Botanical Name

ACER saccharum 'Bailsta'(FALL FIESTA®) PP11119

Plant Common Name

Fall Fiesta® Sugar Maple, Sugar Maple

General Description

If outstanding fall color is what you are looking for in a tree, look no further. Fall Fiesta® sugar maple is a tall, deciduous shade tree with a rounded canopy. Its glossy, dark green summer foliage has a more leathery texture than standard sugar maples and gives way to spectacular hues of yellow, orange and red in the fall.

Sugar maple performs best in full to partial sun and excels in neutral or acidic, average to fertile soils with good drainage. It is widely used as a fast-growing shade tree in open lawns or parks, and resents root compaction or constriction, as encountered in small, concrete-surrounded beds. Young Fall Fiesta® trees are resistant to frost cracking and sunscald as well as summer heat.
