Helping You Become a More Successful Gardener
ACHILLEA millefolium 'Apricot Delight' PPAF
Apricot Delight Common Yarrow, Common Yarrow
The warm salmon-pink blooms of this compact, free-flowering yarrow fade to soft buff with age, creating a beautiful two-tone effect. A patented cultivar, 'Apricot Delight' was derived from selections of the popular Summer Pastels group. Its large, flattened flower clusters are displayed in abundance atop vigorous clumps of ferny, gray-green foliage from early through midsummer. They are irresistible to butterflies, and also make fine cut flowers.
Common yarrow is a carefree, drought-tolerant species native to temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere. Easily grown in full to part sun and average, well-drained soil, it spreads enthusiastically and may require division every two to three years to keep it within bounds. Blooming is prolonged by regular removal of faded flower stems. This classic perennial is perfect for mixed borders, wildflower plantings or casual cottage-style gardens.
