Family

Liliaceae

Botanical Name

ALSTROEMERIA( PRINCESS LILIES™ SERIES)

Plant Common Name

Lily-of-the-Incas

General Description

The patented Princess Lilies series of alstroemeria was developed by Dutch breeders to be excellent garden plants. They are shorter and more compact plants with excellent branching that leads to lots of free flowering blossoms. Flowers are long lasting and resemble azalea blossoms; they come in a wide array of colors. All alstroemeria enjoy cool, moist and deep sandy loams and are somewhat slow to establish after transplanting. Give them fertile soils with sunshine, but in hotter climates too much sun is unfavorable. Cool summers help to prolong flowering seasons.
