General Description

Princess Oxana, a member of the Princess Lilies Series, is a non-invasive (sterile seeds), compact dwarf alstroemeria valued for its manageable size and extended bloom season. From spring through fall, plants produce eyecatching flowers that are raspberry-red with yellow throats. These flowers are tube-shaped with six petals and its leaves are narrow, twisted and light green. Foliage dies back as bloom display comes to an end.

Unlike other alstoemeria, this series is specifically cultivated as a bedding plant rather than for the cutflower industry. Plants prefer full sun and afternoon shade in hottest regions and fertile, moist soil with good drainage (this series does not develop drought tolerance like wild forms. Princess Oxana is a good selection for large containers or in combination with other perennials in a mixed border.
