ANEMONE x hybrida 'Robustissima'
Fall-flowering Anemone, Hybrid Anemone, Robust Anemone
This outstanding fall-flowering anemone is a powerhouse for the late-season perennial border. It bears tall, airy stems covered with numerous large buttercup-like flowers of pale mauve-pink above spreading mounds of dark green, lobed foliage. Blooms appear from late summer to fall and are attractive to bees.
Grow fall-flowering anemones in sites with part sun and average to moist, humus-rich soil. If left undisturbed they will spread vigorously, so it is best to divide them every two to three years.
