General Description

The Vervaeneana Group of columbines are hardy upright perennials with unique nodding flowers. These columbine cultivars are similar to other granny’s bonnet types except that they have variegated leaves and white, pink to reddish, or purple blossoms. They are at home in a sunny border growing in well-drained, fertile soil. Columbines are a charming addition to perennial borders and a mainstay of cottage gardens.
