General Description

Hennie Graafland false spirea is a clump-forming, herbaceous perennial that produces light, bronze-green compound leaves and an upright plume-like dark salmon-pink branching inflorescence in the summer. The flower buds open to lighter, delicate coral-pink flowers, later fade to attractive shades of brown in the fall, providing landscape interest into winter.

For best growth, 'Sheila Haxton' needs a fertile, moist soil in full sun to partial shade. A plant in full sun needs more moisture to remain looking its finest. It functions best in shade gardens, borders, rock gardens and are used for waterside plantings and cut flowers. Divide the plant every 3-4 years when overcrowding occurs in the clump.
