General Description

Native to Asia, auriculate ladyfern is a slow-spreading clumping fern. Its wide sword-like leaves are deep green with a reddish-purple midrib.

These plants are easy to grow in shade with humus-rich soil that is evenly moist. Auriculate ladyfern makes a nice groundcover and also looks nice planted among rocks or at the edges of natural or formal water features.
