Begonia( BABY WING™ WHITE, BABY WING™ SERIES)
Plant Common Name
Baby Wing™ Begonia
General Description
The hybrid 'Baby Wing White' begonia has luscious, shiny green leaves and abundant white flowers in loose clusters from spring through fall, or year round in warm climates. It was derived from the larger Dragon Wing begonia and starts blooming earlier when grown from seeds. An upright, mounding plant from the Baby Wing series, it is tolerant of both sun and shade exposures, heat and drought, and is perfect as a bedding plant or in containers and hanging baskets.
Plant begonias in a moist, well-drainrf soil in partial sun to partial shade. In sandier soils or in hot summer climates, additional watering will be necessary, if planted without shade in the afternoon. Though typically grown as an annual, the Baby Wing begonias will be perennial in subtropical and tropical climes. There they will bloom nearly year-round and require only occasional light pinching to rejuvenate foliage and blooming. In cold climates, lift the tubers before front and winter them in a cool place until they break dormancy in spring.
