BELLIS perennis( GALAXY SERIES)
English Daisy
This entry has yet to be reviewed and approved by L2G editors.
Bellis perennis, commonly known as English Daisy, is native to Western, Central and Northern Europe. It is a cool season perennial that is often treated as a biennial. The Galaxy Series is a semi-double, pom-pom type with flowers in shades of white, bright pinks, reds and purple. This cultivar tends to be a late season bloomer and has the ability to bloom from early fall until early winter in regions with mild winters.
English Daisy tends to struggle in extreme heat, so instead prefers a full sun location where cool, moist soil can be provided. A cheerful, late blooming addition to cottage gardens, alpine settings or containers and a nice companion plant selection for autumn blooming crocus.
