BELLIS perennis 'Roggli Red'( ROGGLI SERIES)
English Daisy, Roggli Red English Daisy
This entry has yet to be reviewed and approved by L2G editors.
English daisies are cool season perennials that are native throughout much of Europe. These tidy plants produce small basal clumps of semi-evergreen leaves of light to medium green. Prized for its early, prolific displays of large, semi-double daisies that have distinctly long quilled tips, 'Roggli Red' blossoms are pinkish magenta-red. Yellow eyes are prominent in the flowers' centers. These appear from early spring through summer and sporadically into fall.
English daisies struggle in extreme heat, and grow best in locations where summers are cool. Plant them in a site with full sun and moist well drained soil. These cheerful perennials make fine additions to cottage gardens, containers and perennial borders.
