General Description
The tight, compactly mounded Surdaisy™ Yellow Swan River daisy produces its small, button-like yellow flowers on upright stems above the leaves. A hybrid tender perennial, it's most often grown as a seasonal bedding annual that's killed by subfreezing temperatures.
The bright emerald green leaves are narrow and deeply lobed, create a soft-looking frilly mass. The delicate leaves make an attractive foil to the yellow-eyed daisies with many thin, thread-like, lighter yellow petals. Deadheading spent flowers encourages production of more flowers a few weeks later.
Surdaisy™ Series Swan River daisies survive in a variety of soil conditions and are drought tolerant, but grow best in non-alkaline, moist, well-drained soil and full sun. Surdaisy™ Yellow is particularly nice as an upright, mounded bedding plant, edging, or filler in a mixed container composition.
