Family

Campanulaceae

Botanical Name

CAMPANULA medium( CHAMPION SERIES)

Plant Common Name

Champion Canterbury Bells

General Description

Campanula medium, commonly called Canterbury bells, is a short-lived herbaceous perennial that originates from western Europe. In late spring to early summer, clumps of medium to dark green basal foliage put forth tall, uniform leafy stems lined with large cup-shaped bells of blue, purple, white, or pink. Members of the floriferous Champion Series are vigorous growers and may have blue, pink or white flowers. Once flowers are spent, plants will not rebloom. Canterbury bells prefer sites with full to part sun and fertile, well drained soil. Lovely and old-fashioned, they are well-suited to perennial borders and cottage gardens.
