Campanula poscharskyana 'Camgood'(BLUE WATERFALL) PP13161
Blue Waterfall Bellflower, Serbian Bellflower
‘Camgood’ produces a breathtaking display of starry, violet-blue flowers in late spring and early summer. Often sold under the name ‘Blue Waterfall’, it is a selection of Serbian bellflower, a species native to mountainous regions of southern Europe. This vigorous perennial forms a low mat of elongated, toothed, heart-shaped foliage which spreads via underground runners. The semi-evergreen leaves may develop attractive red tints in cold weather.
Serbian bellflower prefers full to partial sun, and may require more shade in regions with hot summers. An alpine species, it prefers regular moisture and reasonably fertile conditions, but must have good drainage to thrive. It is at home in rock gardens or the edges of mixed borders, and looks beautiful planted between paving stones or tumbling from crevices in stone retaining walls.
