Campsis x tagliabuana
Trumpet Creeper
Hybrid trumpet creeper combines the qualities of both its parents, Campsis radicans and C. grandiflora. It is a vigorous deciduous climbing vine with bright green compound leaves and big, fiery-colored trumpet flowers in late summer and fall.
Grow hybrid trumpet creeper in any average garden soil that is moist and well-drained. It is quite tolerant of poor and drier soils and in restricted root spaces. Full sun ensures the finest flowering displays. A few culitvars of note include 'Madame Galen', 'Kudian' and 'Crimson Trumpet'.
