CANNA( FUTURITY SERIES)
Canna, Canna Lily
Canna in the Futurity Series are easy-to-grow, tropical to sub-tropical, herbaceous to evergreen plants that may be grown as perennials in tropical regions or tender perennials in temperate zones. These canna and have dwarf statures, large, showy, lily-like flowers of red, pink, orange, rose or yellow and bold leaves of green, bronze, and burgundy. These are everblooming and "self-cleaning" in that flowers fall to the ground after they are spent.
Canna have thick fleshy rhizomes that transplant and divide easily. In temperate zones they may be dug and brought into a cool, dry garage or basement to over winter and then planted again in spring after the last frost date. Canna are amazingly adaptable. Plants prefer full sun and rich moist to wet soil but can be surprisingly drought tolerant if faced with a bout of dry weather. Use these in containers, waterside gardens or as focal points in any bed or border. Though tolerant of wet soils, they will not tolerate deep standing water.
