CHRYSANTHEMUM x morifolium 'Cream Blush'( BLUSH™ SERIES) PP10039
Pot Chrysanthemum, Single Chrysanthemum
The chrysanthemum 'Cream Blush' produces numerous large, pale yellow, greenish-eyed "daisies" on dense, mounded, 10- to 16-inch (25 to 40 cm) plants. The 5- to 5.5-inch-wide (12.5 to 14 cm), single to semi-double blooms appear in autumn under "natural" conditions, but greenhouse-grown plants will flower about 8 weeks after 2 weeks of exposure to "long nights" (13.5 hours or more). This vegetatively propagated mum was introduced by Yoder Brothers of Barberton, Ohio. It is grown and sold as a seasonal pot plant.
Chrysanthemum × morifolium is an old-time favorite for fall gardens and greenhouse displays. This herbaceous perennial originated in eastern Asia, where it has long been cultivated for its showy blooms and fragrant, deeply lobed foliage. Hundreds of mum varieties are grown today.
Like most mums, 'Cream Blush' thrives in full sun and a fertile, well-drained growing medium. Pinch back developing stems to encourage a tidier habit and heavier flowering. Disbudded plants produce extra-large blooms.
