Helping You Become a More Successful Gardener
CHRYSANTHEMUM x morifolium 'Yodiana'(DIANA™ YELLOW) PP17535
Fully double, starry gold flowers with fluted petals adorn this compact, early-blooming mum from late summer into fall. Like other popular hardy mums, it is a heavy-flowering selection that adopts a uniform, slightly spreading, cushion habit. This vegetatively propagated cultivar was introduced in 2007 by Yoder Brothers of Barberton, Ohio.
Chrysanthemum × morifolium is an old-time favorite for fall gardens and greenhouse displays. This herbaceous perennial originated in eastern Asia, where it has long been cultivated for its showy blooms and fragrant, deeply lobed foliage. Hundreds of mum varieties are grown in modern gardens.
Like most mums, Diana™ Yellow thrives in full sun and a fertile, well-drained growing medium. Although typically planted as seasonal annuals, most hardy mums can be used as border perennials in USDA hardiness zones 6 through 9. Pinch back developing flowering stems to encourage a tidier habit and heavier flowering.
The bright flowers of Diana™ Yellow complement any colorful fall display and are ideal for container plantings and tabletop arrangements.
This cultivar is distinct from the lavender-flowered spoon chrysanthemum 'Diana' (PP05496) and the red-flowered single chrysanthemum 'Diana'.
