CHRYSANTHEMUM x morifolium 'Gedi Two Ylatl'( YELLOW ATLANTICO, ATLANTICO SERIES) PP14482
Hardy Chrysanthemum, Single Chrysanthemum
Scores of small golden-yellow daisies cover this hardy chrysanthemum in late summer and early fall. Bred in Belgium, this hybrid cultivar is a heavy-flowering selection that adopts that perfect cushion mum habit.
Chrysanthemum × morifolium is an old-time favorite for fall gardens and greenhouse displays. This herbaceous perennial originated in eastern Asia, where it has long been cultivated for its showy blooms and fragrant, deeply lobed foliage. Hundreds of mum varieties are grown in modern gardens.
Like most mums, Yellow Atlantico thrives in full sun and a fertile, well-drained growing medium. Although typically planted as seasonal annuals, most hardy mums can be used as border perennials in USDA hardiness zones 6 through 9. Pinch back developing flowering stems to encourage a tidier habit and heavier flowering.
This cultivar looks best planted in masses or combined with ornamental bunch grasses and cool-hued asters. Mums are also favorite fall container plants, indoor or out.
