CHRYSANTHEMUM x morifolium 'Madeline' PPAF
Decorative Chrysanthemum, Madeline Chrysanthemum
This "anemone"-type chrysanthemum produces clusters of semi-double, lavender-pink, yellow-eyed blooms above compact mounds of lobed, pungently scented leaves. Flowering begins in later summer or early autumn and continues for several weeks.
Like most bedding (or "decorative") mums, this herbaceous perennial prefers full sun and a fertile, well-drained growing medium. Although typically employed as a seasonal annual, it can be used as a hardy perennial in USDA hardiness zones 6 through 9. Pinch overwintered plants back in late spring or early summer to encourage a neater habit and heavier fall flowering.
