CHRYSANTHEMUM x morifolium 'Yosylvie'(SYLVIE™ WHITE) PP13035
Single Chrysanthemum
This florists' chrysanthemum produces masses of small, daisy-like blossoms on densely branched, mounded, 12- to 16-inch plants. The white, yellow-eyed, 1.5-inch-wide (4 cm) blooms appear in autumn and early winter. Plants grown under artificial conditions can be "forced" into flower at other seasons. This chrysanthemum is also distinguished by its relatively small, glossy, dark green leaves. Typically grown as a seasonal container plant, Sylvie™ White can also be used as a garden perennial in USDA Hardiness Zones 7 to 9. This cultivar was introduced by Yoder Brothers of Barberton, Ohio, and is available only as vegetatively propagated plants.
Florists' chrysanthemums originated in eastern Asia, where they have been bred and selected for many centuries. They thrive in full sun and a fertile, well-drained growing medium.
