CLEMATIS 'Arabella' PPAF
Arabella Clematis, Clematis, Integrifolia Clematis
The heavy-flowering ‘Arabella’ produces many violet blue flowers in late summer to early fall. As the flowers mature they lighten in color.
Hybrid clematis is a hardy deciduous woody vine that climbs by twining stems. The vines are lined with green compound leaves that appear in spring. The large flowers appear from spring to summer and are followed by fluffy clusters of silvery seeds.
Plant this vine in sites with full sun and fertile, well-drained soil. It grows and flowers best if its roots remain cool under a vegetative layer or thick mulch. As with most clematis, this selection adds a vertical element to the garden and looks best when trained on a fence, trellis or pergola.<
This is a Group 3 clematis, which means it bears flowers on the current year’s growth and can be hard pruned.
