CLEMATIS 'Betty Corning'
Betty Corning Clematis, Clematis, Viticella Clematis
‘Betty Corning’ is a vining plant with small bell-shaped, pale lavender flowers. This clematis blooms from midsummer through late fall and have petal tips that are slightly curved and emit a light fragrance.
Betty Corning clematis refers a position with at least five to six hours of sun per day and fertile, well-drained soil. Shade the rootzone with mulch. In early spring, prune each stem's growth down to a pair of strong buds above the soil level. This cultivar is smaller growing and can be used to dress up a short wall, trellis, or arbor, planted in a large patio container with a decorative post or bamboo teepee or allowed to scramble over shrubs.
