CLEMATIS 'Gipsy Queen'
Clematis, Gipsy Queen Clematis, Late Large-flowered Clematis
This deciduous, woody vine bears many flowers from midsummer to fall. Its large rose-purple blooms appear along twining stems against medium green foliage. These are followed by clusters of long, curled, silky fruits,
Beautiful and easy to grow, 'Gipsy Queen' grows best in sites with full sun and fertile, well drained soil. Flower buds develop from the previous year's growth, so pruning should be done after it blooms. As with most clematis, this selection adds a vertical element to the garden and looks best when trained on a fence, trellis or pergola.
