CLEMATIS 'Pink Champagne'
Clematis, Pink Champagne Clematis
Large-flowered hybrid clematis are medium-sized, showy-flowered, deciduous vines that cling to supports by the curled leafstalks of their compound leaves. The cultivar ’Pink Champagne’ has bright purple-pink flowers with pale centers and yellow anthers. It bears one flush of flowers in late spring on the previous year's wood and one in late summer on the current year's growth. Attractive, frilly, silvery seedheads follow the flowers.
Large-flowered hybrid clematis prefer at least 5 to 6 hours of sun per day and fertile, well-drained soil. ‘Pink Champagne’ can be used to dress up a wall, trellis, or arbor, or it can be allowed to scramble over shrubs or into small trees.
