CLEMATIS 'Will Goodwin'
Clematis, Early Large-flowered Clematis, Will Goodwin Clematis
Will Goodwin clematis is a vine that has very large, soft lilac flowers that bloom from late spring to midsummer. The flowers are wavy-edged and profuse across the plant. In late summer buds from the current season's growth often open well before frost.
Clematis prefers a position with at least five to six hours of sun per day and fertile, well-drained soil. Shade the rootzone with mulch. In early spring, remove any dead or damaged vines and prune to retain plant height back to an area of strong, healthy buds. ‘Will Goodwin’ can be used to dress up a wall, trellis, or arbor, or it can be allowed to scramble over shrubs or into small trees.
