Coreopsis auriculata 'Autumn Blush' PPAF
Autumn Blush Tickseed, Lobed Coreopsis, Lobed Tickseed
The coreopsis cultivar, ‘Autumn Blush,’ descended from an herbaceous perennial native to the southeastern U.S., has bi-colored petals and long bloom The plant is rhizomatous (spreads by underground stems) and upright leafy branching stems that bloom in late spring to early fall with a profusion of flowers that are a light peachy yellow with read centers. The flowers develop a wine-rose blush in the cool days of fall.
Like most coreopsis, ‘Autumn Blush’ grows and flowers best in full to part sun and well drained, average soil. It will continue to bloom as long as spent flowers are sheared. This coreopsis makes a great addition to sunny perennial borders and containers, and its flowers are highly attractive to butterflies.
