Willowleaf cotoneaster is a graceful evergreen that arches and spreads that is native to the Himalayas, northern India and China. Willowleaf cotoneaster widely varies between its cultivars in regards to its size and growth habit.
The cultivar 'Moner' or 'Emerald Carpet' is a low compact, creeping form with smaller oval leaves that reveals white blossoms in spring and bright red, elongated berries from fall to winter. Prefers full to part sun and well draining sandy loam. Plant in rock gardens or as an underplanting for large shrubs and small trees.
