DAHLIA 'Gallery Art Fair'( GALLERY SERIES) PP11356
Dahlia, Decorative Dahlia, Gallery Art Fair Dahlia
A tender tuberous perennial, 'Gallery Art Fair' has a compact, well-branched habit and produces many bright white blooms in the warm season. This hybrid has beautiful green leaves and lots of miniature, double (extra petals), formal white flowers with a greenish central cluster of petals. Blooming occurs when temperatures are warm. Grown as an annual, this dahlia begins flowering midsummer and continues until a killing frost.
Dahlia prefers fertile, well-drained soil and full to partial sun. Ideally, night temperatures should be comfortably cool, and days should lack overbearing humidity. Ensure that plants have good air circulation to forestall diseases that start on wet leaves. Like most dahlias, 'Gallery Art Fair' is excellent as bedding plant or in a container, and as a cut flower. Lift and store tubers indoors in cold-winter regions. In hot, humid tropical climates, plant the tubers after the height of summer or the end of the wet season.
