DAHLIA 'Gallery Bellini'( GALLERY SERIES) PP14162
Dahlia, Decorative Dahlia, Gallery Bellini Dahlia
A tender, tuberous perennial, 'Gallery Bellini' is a compact, well-branched dahlia that produces lots of vivid, pink and buttery yellow flowers in the warm season. This hybrid has beautiful green foliage and a profusion of miniature, double (extra petals), formal-looking flowers with petals that are pink with creamy pale-yellow bases. Blooming occurs when temperatures are warm and remain above freezing. Grown as an annual, it begins blooming in midsummer and continues until a killing frost.
Like most dahlias, 'Gallery Bellini' prefers fertile, well-drained soil and full to partial sun. It also is happy in containers. Ideally, night temperatures should be comfortably cool, and days should be free of overbearing humidity. Ensure plants have good air circulation to forestall diseases that start on wet leaves. It is a good plant for bedding as well as containers and makes good cut flowers.
Lift and store tubers indoors in cold winter regions. I in hot and humid or tropical climates, plant tubers after the height of summer or the end of the wet season.
