DAHLIA 'Goldalia Scarlet'( GOLDALIA™ SERIES)
Collarette Dahlia, Dahlia, Goldahlia Scarlet Dahlia

The petite dahlia selection 'Goldalia Scarlet' is a tender perennial with a short, compact but well-branching habit, and red and light yellow flowers. Growing from tuberous roots, the beautiful green foliage is adorned with semi-doubled, collarette-form flowers when temperatures are warm and remain above freezing. The main petals are scarlet red, with a fringed inner circle of shorter light yellow petals surrounding a golden yellow center disc.
Dahlia excels in fertile, well-drained soil and full to partial sun. Ideally, night temperatures should be comfortably cool, and days should lack overbearing humidity. Summer's heavy rain downpours can give dahlia plants a beating. Ensure plants have good air circulation. Perfect to grow from tubers and excellent bedding or small container plants, they make outstanding cutflowers. Lift and store tubers indoors in cold winter regions, whereas in hot, humid tropical climates, more success with dahlias occurs if planted after the summer wet season.
