General Description

The 'Foxy Series Apricot' foxglove is a biennial or short-lived perennial featuring tubular apricot outer flowers with maroon spotted inner throats. The flowers cling to erect stems arising from basal foliage and tend to bloom the first year from seed. Although tolerant of an array of light and soil conditions, the 'Foxy Series Apricot' foxglove fares best in humus-rich, well-drained soil in partial shade. It self-seeds prolifically, compensating for its short life span, as the seedlings may produce multiple new plants around the base of the parent plant. The 'Foxy Series Apricot' foxglove is a strong performer and sweet addition to a cottage garden.
