A tough rock garden gem, myrtle spurge can't be beat for season-long interest. This native of Eastern Europe and Turkey has long prostrate stems densely lined with sharp-tipped, silvery seagreen leaves that are evergreen. In very early spring, these stems become punctuated with clusters of flowers with bright chartreuse bracts.
Highly drought tolerant, this perennial requires full sun and can take poor soils as long as they have good drainage. Its beautiful and interesting foliage contrasts nicely with other showy, sun-loving plants.
