Euryops pectinatus
Gray-leaved Euryops
Yellow bush daisy is a small, sturdy, broadleaf evergreen shrub from South Africa bearing cheery yellow daisies from late spring to fall, or year round in greenhouses. The handsome, finely divided leaves are hairy and gray-green, often silvery-white during the cool and/or dry season. Leaves are more green when wettened after a rainfall.
This shrub needs very well drained, fertile soil in full sun. It is suitable for rock gardens, containers, and shrub borders where hardy; otherwise it can be grown in an alpine house or cool greenhouse. It makes an excellent topiary standard. Cultivar 'Viridis' has dark green leaves, and 'Munchkin' is a rounded, compact plant.
