Lindheimer's beeblossom, Pink Fountain™ beeblossom

General Description

Lindheimer's beeblossom is a long-lived hardy perennial that is native to Texas and Louisiana. The selection Pink Fountain™ has a compact, bushy habit and fine foliage that is red when it first emerges and later changes to dark green. From summer to fall it produces many arching stems covered with delicate, open, five-petaled flowers of pink with long prominent anthers. These are bee and butterfly magnets. Spent flowers should be removed to encourage continued blooming.

Beeblossom is tolerant of drought, heat and humidity. It prefers sites with full sun and well drained, average soil. Plant it in sunny gardens and containers.
