Helping You Become a More Successful Gardener
Amadeus Daylily, Daylily
Hemerocallis ‘Amadeus’ produces triangular to circular, medium-sized blooms which stay open for an extended time. The color is scarlet with a green-yellow throat and yellow to creamy mid-veins. The blooms first appear in early to midsummer and may re-bloom later in the season, though the first flush is the fullest. The medium green, semi-evergreen, strap-like leaves of this cultivar form neat spreading clumps.
Daylilies are easy to grow if provided with full to partial sun and average soil. The clumps slowly spread over time and need to be divided every three to four years. Enjoy these tried and true ornamentals in mixed beds, borders and large mass plantings.
