HEMEROCALLIS 'Ashwood Dark Side'
Ashwood Dark Side Daylily, Daylily

The daylily is a reliable perennial that everyone knows and loves. The flowers of the midsummer-blooming ‘Ashwood Dark Side’ are deep purple-black with ruffled edges and light green throats. They are triangular in shape and open during the day. The flowers are borne from tall clumps of bright green strap-like leaves that require some cold for dormancy.
Daylilies are easy to grow if provided full to partial sun and average soil with good drainage. The clumps slowly spread over time and need to be divided every two to three years. Otherwise, they require little care, though it is good to cut the foliage back if it starts to look worn. Enjoy these tried and true ornamentals in mixed beds, borders and large mass plantings.
