HEMEROCALLIS 'Baggette'
Baggette Daylily, Daylily
The daylily is a reliable perennial that everyone knows and loves. The bi-colored flowers of the early to midsummer blooming ‘Baggette’ have inner petals that are brick red with yellow midribs and outer petals that are pale yellow. The throats are richly yellow. The blooms are triangular in shape and open for an extended period of time. The flowers arise from neat clumps of bright green strap-like leaves that that require some cold for dormancy.
All daylilies are easy to grow if provided full to partial sun and average soil with good drainage. Their clumps spread over time and need to be divided every three to four years. Otherwise, they require little care, though it is good to cut their foliage back if it starts to look worn in midsummer. Enjoy them in mixed beds, borders, containers and large mass plantings.
