HEMEROCALLIS 'Betty Woods'
Betty Woods Daylily, Daylily
The daylily is a reliable perennial that everyone knows and loves. The fragrant double flowers of the early summer blooming ‘Betty Woods’ are clear yellow with green throats. They are circular in shape with ruffled petals and open during the day. Later in the season they often re-bloom, especially if deadheaded. The flowers are borne from clumps of bright green strap-like leaves that that require some cold for dormancy.
Daylilies are easy to grow if provided with full to partial sun, and average soil with good drainage. Their clumps spread over time and may need to be divided every three to four years. Otherwise, they require little care, though it is good to cut their foliage back if it starts to look worn in midsummer. Enjoy them in mixed beds, borders, containers and large mass plantings.
