HEMEROCALLIS 'Bonanza'
Bonanza Daylily, Daylily
The daylily is a popular perennial venerated for its reliability, ease of growth and beauty. The fragrant flowers of the early summer blooming ‘Bonanza’ are golden yellow with burgundy eyes and yellow green throats. They are star to triangular in shape and open for an extended period of time. Later in the season it can re-bloom, especially if deadheaded and well irrigated. The flowers arise from neat clumps of semi-evergreen, bright green, strap-like leaves.
Daylilies are easy to grow if provided with full to partial sun, and average soil with good drainage. Their clumps spread over time and may need to be divided every three to four years. Otherwise, they require little care, though it is good to cut their foliage back if it starts to look worn in midsummer. Enjoy them in mixed beds, borders, containers and large mass plantings.
