Bozo Daylily, Daylily
The daylily is a popular perennial venerated for its reliability, ease of growth and beauty. The flowers of the midsummer blooming ‘Bozo’ are bright red with lighter midveins and large yellow-green throats. They are triangular in shape with ruffled petals and open for an extended period of time. The flowers arise from neat clumps of bright green strap-like leaves that require some cold for dormancy.
Daylilies are easy to grow if provided with full to partial sun, and average soil with good drainage. Their clumps spread over time and may need to be divided every three to four years. Otherwise, they require little care, though it is good to cut their foliage back if it starts to look worn in midsummer. Enjoy them in mixed beds, borders, containers and large mass plantings.
