HEMEROCALLIS 'Breathless Beauty'
Breathless Beauty Daylily, Daylily
The daylily is a reliable perennial that everyone knows and loves. The large flowers of the midsummer blooming ‘Breathless Beauty’ are purple-red with lighter midveins and yellow-green throats. They are triangular in shape and open during the day. The flowers are borne from tall clumps of bright green strap-like leaves that are evergreen in southern zones.
Daylilies are easy to grow if provided with full to partial sun, and average soil with good drainage. Their clumps spread over time and may need to be divided every three to four years. Otherwise, they require little care, though it is good to cut their foliage back if it starts to look worn in midsummer. Enjoy them in mixed beds, borders, containers and large mass plantings.
