General Description

The daylily is a reliable perennial that everyone knows and loves. The large flowers of the midsummer blooming ‘Bridgeton Bazaar’ are pale orange with deep rose eyezones and petal edges and yellow-green throats. They are triangular in shape with ruffled petals and open during the day. Later in the season they often re-bloom, especially if deadheaded. The flowers are borne above semi-evergreen foliage that appears in spring, forming clumps of bright green strap-like leaves.

Daylilies are easy to grow if provided with full to partial sun, and average soil with good drainage. The clumps slowly spread over time and need to be divided every two to three years. Otherwise, they require little care, though it is good to cut the foliage back if it starts to look worn. Enjoy these tried and true ornamentals in mixed beds, borders and large mass plantings.
