HEMEROCALLIS 'Calypso Coral'

Image of Hemerocallis 'Calypso Coral' (PLATINUM PALETTE SERIES)

Family

Liliaceae

Botanical Name

HEMEROCALLIS 'Calypso Coral'( PLATINUM PALETTE SERIES)

Plant Common Name

Calypso Coral Daylily, Daylily

General Description

The daylily is by far one of the most popular sun-loving perennials available. It is most revered for its reliability, ease of growth and beauty. The summer-blooming ‘Calypso Coral’ offers large blooms that are pale coral pink with ivory midribs and green throats. They are day-blooming, triangular in shape and have ruffled edges. They arise from neat clumps of green strap-like leaves that are semi-evergreen in mildest-winter zones.

Daylilies are easy to grow if provided with full to partial sun, and average soil with good drainage. Their clumps spread over time and may need to be divided every three to four years. After plants bloom, it is wise to shear back their foliage to allow for a fresh flush of growth. Enjoy these tried and true ornamentals in mixed beds and borders, containers and large mass plantings.
